A song that moved me

    Chinese song (Country), this song is my primary school, the school held a singing contest, my class chose this song, because it was sung with my classmates, so it is a deep impression to me, I miss that time, although my life and because of this song has not changed.

#1 Culture Shock

       When I first came to the U.S., in my American Literature class, the teacher asked us to give a speech on bucket lists.  This was a culture shock for me as a newcomer to the U.S. because very few people in China did this.  This kind of thing, at least no one around me had ever made a bucket list, so I had a hard time completing that speech assignment.

Shereen El Feki: Pop culture in the Arab world

     Slan's fusion of various cultures.  This is not a case of a clash of civilizations.  It's not a blend that can't be distinguished.  It is a network of civilizations that incorporates various cultural traditions.  Islam has incorporated ideas from both ancient and contemporary civilizations throughout its history.  The Islamic culture is urged to achieve this by the Quran.  Whatever your beliefs, that is a pretty wise thing to say.
